Police have seized almost 300,000 illicit cosmetic and food supplement products from raids at Don Mueang New Market, opposite the international airport in a market in northern Bangkok's Don Muang district. Police since last Wednesday have completed searching 259 shops and found 186 shops selling illicit cosmetic and food supplement goods. As well as illicit cosmetic and food supplement products charges, the authority also pounced on the market over the illegal encroachment case. The authority ordered the Don Mueang New Market Development Co market operator to close for 15 days. Don Mueang New Market Development Co face five charges, mainly related to encroaching on the public canal and public land.
